Zaha Hadid Design

— Launching an icon into the future

London

Zaha Hadid Design was founded by Dame Zaha Hadid (1950-2016) to continue her work on product, furniture and exhibition design. The studio operates under the lead of co-directors Maha Kutay and Woody Yao.

ZHD works at the forefront of technological innovation in a wide range of disciplines, in collaboration with some of the world's leading brands.

The new identity system aims to elevate the studio's profile for retail customers, whilst consolidating its standing amongst collaborators.

The identity has been created to imply (but not imitate) the unique characteristics of ZHD’s work. In the logo, the incremental skew of letterforms, combined with the exponential increase in letter spacing, is derived from the form of a curve. Elsewhere, movement is implied through use of space, and curves through shifts in tone and materiality.
